Adult Climb Start Up, Refresher and Improvers Session Terms & Conditions

Adult Climb Start Up, Refresher and Improvers Session Terms & Conditions

  1. Any form of Climbing can be a dangerous pastime that can lead to serious injury. The British Mountaineering Council (BMC) recognises that climbing and mountaineering are activities with a danger of personal injury or death. Participants in these activities should be aware of and accept these risks and be responsible for their own actions. Edinburgh Leisure have taken every possible step to ensure that you have a completely safe and fun experience through the use of  high quality equipment and the employment of a qualified and experienced team. However, we cannot accept any responsibility for injuries sustained due to negligence on the part of participants.

  2. You are in good health and can participate in physical activity. (Climbing is not recommended for participants that have neck or back problems, heart problems or have had recent surgery).

  3. Participants must be 18 years+.

  4. Please arrive at reception 10 minutes before your session where your attendance will be recorded and the appropriate forms completed. Each session will be either 60 or 90 minutes long depending on the course you have selected.

  5. Participants must follow any safety instructions as directed by the EICA team.

  6. Please only book an Adult Start Up, Refresher or Improver session if you 18 years or over and are sure you will be able to attend. If you are unable to make your booking or change your mind, or you are under 18 years old there are no refunds, and bookings cannot be moved.

  7. If we cancel your booking, we will contact you by text or by phone. We will refund payments made OR credit your account with the relevant number of Loyalty Points.

  8. Edinburgh Leisure reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time.

Service Fee

For certain activities, an additional non-refundable order processing fee may be applied to your purchase to cover the costs associated with processing orders. This fee varies by activity and will be added prior to completing the purchase; it will be clearly indicated next to the total amount.

The service fee is calculated based on a standard flat rate per transaction plus a percentage of the final value of the transaction.

When booking an activity for multiple guests, please note that the booking fee applies to the entire transaction rather than the number of individuals included in the booking. If you wish to amend your booking before the specified amendment date, no additional booking fee will be incurred.
