General Birthday Party Terms & Conditions
The following Terms & Conditions apply to ALL our Birthday Parties;
- You may request to cancel your booking up to 14 days after you have made your booking, unless the requested cancellation is within 2 weeks of the date of the party. Please contact askus@edinburghleisure.co.uk or phone 0131 458 2100 should you need to cancel your booking. Please ensure you have your booking reference which you will find on your confirmation email.
- Edinburgh Leisure retains the right to cancel your booking should we believe the party booking is of an illegal nature, immoral or would be harmful to the reputation of Edinburgh Leisure.
- Should we need to amend the party booking in any way we will contact you to offer alternative facilities similar to those made in the original booking. If you feel the alternative is not suitable you have the right to a full refund.
- Alcohol is not permitted in any of our venues.
- Payment is required at the time of booking.
- Photography or filming is not permitted within our venues unless consent is given by a member of staff.
- Our parties have upper and lower age limits. These will be detailed within the description of each activity. We retain the right to refuse entry to any party should your child's age fall outside the ones detailed in each party description.
- All our maximum numbers are provided within the party description.
- The party organiser is fully responsible for collecting all dietary and allergy requirements for party guests. Party organisers who wish to bring in any food (such as birthday cakes) are fully responsible to ensure all dietary and allergy requirements are catered for and that the cake conforms with Natasha’s Law 2021.
AquaDash Party Terms & Conditions
The following Terms & Conditions apply to our AquaDash Parties in addition to our General Terms & Condidtions above;
- AquaDash is not recommended for participants that have neck or back problems, heart problems or have had recent surgery. If you are pregnant you should consider your physical condition and limitations before deciding to participate.
- Participants must be a minimum of 6 years and parents/guardians remain responsible for their child’s welfare at all times during sessions. Refunds will not be processed for customers who have booked children under 6 years.
- One adult must book and participate for every two children aged 6 to 8 years. Participants aged 9+ can participate without any adult supervision.
- The maximum weight for participants is 150 kg (330 lbs) / 23 stone.
- Please arrive at reception 15 minutes before your session. Each session will be 50 minutes long and begins with a short safety briefing. If you are late arriving and miss the safety briefing then you will not be able to take part in that session. If you are not allowed to participate your booking will not be refunded or transferred.
- Chewing gum, food or drinks are not permitted in the pool or surrounding areas.
- Participants must follow any safety instructions as directed by the lifeguard team.
- Edinburgh Leisure does not accept responsibility for any loss, damage or injuries to persons participating in any activity in or on the facilities. This applies to all participants within your booking including adults and children. Any form of swimming obstacle course can be a dangerous activity that can lead to serious injury. Edinburgh Leisure have taken every possible step to ensure you have a completely safe and fun experience through the use of buoyancy aids (which must be worn at all times throughout activity) and the employment of a qualified and experienced lifeguard team to supervise the activity.
- We will contact you the week before your party to confirm catering and dietary requirements.
- We can accept additional participants to be added to your party up to 7 days before the party date We recommend you contact us as soon as possible to ensure we have enough spaces.
Clip n Climb Party Terms & Conditions
The following Terms & Conditions apply to our Clip n Climb Parties in addition to our General Terms & Condidtions above;
- To participate in Clip n Climb you will be required to authorise the following disclaimer for you/and or your party of participants. Please note this disclaimer covers all participants within your booking including both adults and children.
- Any form of climbing can be a dangerous pastime that can lead to serious injury. Edinburgh Leisure have taken every possible step to ensure that you have a completely safe and fun experience through the use of automatic belay devices, high quality harnesses, locked clipping systems and the employment of a qualified and experienced team.
- Adults can participate in the Clip n Climb session, if included in the numbers. We require one adult (18 years+) per five children to be present in the Clip n Climb area during the session to assist with clipping in. Any Adult (18 years+) who are not climbing but are entering the Clip n Climb area to assist must attend the safety briefing and wear a Clipper Vest while in the Clip n Climb area. To prevent overcrowding we limit the number of non–participants in the Clip n Climb area.
- Children will remain the parent’s responsibility during a Clip n Climb session. The Clip n Climb staff will be on hand to assist however are primarily there for the safety of all participants.
- The Vertical Drop slide is available for everyone in the session over the minimum height requirement of 1.2m. Slide suits are provided and must be worn while taking part along with socks.
- Participants must follow instructions provided by staff at all times. We reserve the right to eject any participant not following instructions.
- Everyone must arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of your session.
- Participants must wear appropriate clothing and footwear to participate in Clip n Climb. Climbing shoes, heels, flip flops or open toe shoes are not permitted. Shoe laces should be tied, long hair tied back and all jewellery removed before the start of the session. Glasses must be secure.
- We can accept additional participants to be added to your party up to 7 days before the party date We recommend you contact us as soon as possible to ensure we have enough spaces.
- Catering is only provided for children. We will contact you the week before your party to confirm dietary requirements.
- We will provide a knife and lighter for birthday cakes. Sparklers are not permitted to be used.
SoftPlay Party Terms & Conditions
The following Terms & Conditions apply to our SoftPlay Parties in addition to our General Terms & Condidtions above;
- We can accept additional participants to be added to your party up to 7 days before the party date We recommend you contact us as soon as possible to ensure we have enough spaces.
- Catering is only provided for children. We will contact you the week before your party to confirm dietary requirements.
- We will provide a knife and lighter for birthday cakes. Sparklers are not permitted to be used.
Inflatable Pool Party Terms & Conditions
The following Terms & Conditions apply to our Inflatable Pool Parties in addition to our General Terms & Condidtions above;
- Gracies Café who will contact you the week before your party to confirm your catering and dietary requirements.
- Only children aged 6 to 16 years old can participate on the inflatable.
- One adult must participate for every 2 children aged 6 to 8 years old.
- We can accept additional participants to be added to your party up to 7 days before the party date We recommend you contact us as soon as possible to ensure we have enough spaces.
