Birthday Party Terms & Conditions


Soft Play Parties

  1. You may request a full refund up to 14 days after you have made your booking, as long as the cancellation is outwith 14 days from the date of the party itself. We may consider full refunds outwith this timescale in exceptional circumstances.  To request a refund please contact askus@edinburghleisure.co.uk or phone 0131 458 2100.  Please ensure you have your booking reference which you will find on your confirmation email.
  2. We will not be held liable if the party booking is cancelled by Edinburgh Leisure for the following reasons:
    - We believe the party booking is of an illegal nature, immoral or would be harmful to the reputation of Edinburgh Leisure.
    - We need to amend the party booking in any way.  We will contact you to offer alternative facilities similar to those made in the original booking.  If you feel the alternative is not suitable you have the right to a full refund.
  3. Alcohol is not permitted in any of our venues
  4. The party organiser is fully responsible for collecting all dietary and allergy requirements for party guests. Any requirements must be passed on to the venue in written format, a minimum of 7 days before the event. Party organisers who wish to bring in any food (such as birthday cakes) are fully responsible to ensure all dietary and allergy requirements are catered for. 
  5. We will send you a reminder 14 days before your party date.  Where the cost of your party is on a price per person you can add more children on to your booking up to 7 days before your party date and up to the maximum number.  The same timelines apply to notification of any dietary requirements.  No changes will be accepted within 7 days of your party date.  We cannot reduce or refund from the original number of children booked and paid for at the time of booking.
  6. Full payment is required at the time of booking
  7. Photography/filming is not permitted within our venues unless consent is sought from a member of staff.
  8. Our parties have upper and lower age limits.  These will be detailed within the description of each activity.   We retain the right to refuse entry to any party should your child's age fall outside the ones detailed in each party description.  No refunds will be given.
  9. For soft play parties the minimum number in a party is 12 with a maximum of 20.

AquaDash Parties

  1. The party package is available on Saturdays and Sundays for Aquadash or Aquadash Extreme.
  2. Refunds, changes to numbers and transfers (subject to availability), will be offered up to 14 days from point of booking, unless the party date is within 4 weeks of the requested cancellation. Out with this there will be no refunds or transfers, so please ensure you book the correct session and are sure you can attend before completing purchase. Please contact askus@edinburghleisure.co.uk in the first instance with any queries.
  3. We will not be held liable if the party booking is cancelled by Edinburgh Leisure for the following reasons:

  9. There is a minimum age for the taking part on the AquaDash. This will be detailed within the description of each activity.

Clip 'n Climb Parties

  1. Full payment is required for your party at time of booking. We do not offer provisional bookings.
  2. Minimum of 5 participants and a maximum of 20 participants per party, ages 4 years and above. 
  3. Adults can participate in the session but are there to assist children with harnessing and clipping in. 
  4. For parties up to and including 18 people, an increase to numbers is subject to the availability of the online booking system as unused spaces are released into general sale at time of booking.
  5. Refunds will be offered up to 14 days from point of booking, unless the party date is within 2 weeks of the requested cancellation, out with this there will be no refunds. Please contact the Bookings team on 0131 333 6305 in the first instance and all cancellations must confirmed in writing to bookings.eica@edinburghleisure.co.uk  
  6. Catering is only provided for children. Dietary requirements MUST be given to us no later than 7 days in advance of your party. This can be emailed to bookings.eica@edinburghleisure.co.uk or you can call 0131 333 6305. Unlimited squash will be provided for your party, any additional drinks can be purchased from out onsite café. 
  7. Everyone must arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of the session.
  8. If any participants are late, your session cannot run over the end time.
  9. Clip n Climb can be dangerous if instructions are not followed and unruly behavior will not be tolerated. If anyone in your group misbehaves, they will be asked to leave the  area.
  10. Children remain the parent’s responsibility during a Clip ’n Climb session, the Clip ’n Climb staff are primarily there for your safety.
  11. Parents must stay with the group at all times. We anticipate a child aged nine and above is likely to be able to clip themselves in, if you think your climbers may have difficulty clipping then please be prepared to assist.
  12. Any birthday cakes brought in on site must be supermarket bought or from a reputable baker to comply with Natasha’s Law October 2021. Name of product, a full list of ingredients and allergens must be provided on the packing, we cannot accept home baked goods or any additional food/snacks.  
  13. Please make sure the children are wearing comfortable clothing, closed toes clean shoes/trainers. Glasses must be secure and any jewelry such as rings and earrings should be removed before climbing for safety reasons. It can be cold in this arena in the winter months, warm clothing should be worn.

Bouncy Castle Parties

Inflatable Pool Parties

  1. The Inflatable Pool Party package is available on Saturdays at 13:45 at Gracemount Leisure Centre
  2. Refunds, changes to numbers and transfers (subject to availability), will be offered up to 14 days from point of booking, unless the party date is within 4 weeks of the requested cancellation. Out with this there will be no refunds or transfers, so please ensure you book the correct date and are sure you can attend before completing purchase. Please contact askus@edinburghleisure.co.uk in the first instance with any queries.
  3. We will not be held liable if the party booking is cancelled by Edinburgh Leisure for the following reasons:
    - We believe the party booking is of an illegal nature, immoral or would be harmful to the reputation of Edinburgh Leisure.
    - We need to amend the party booking in any way.
    We will contact you to offer alternative facilities similar to those made in the original booking. If you feel the alternative is not suitable you have the right to a full refund.
  4. Alcohol is not permitted in any of our venues.
  5. The party organiser is fully responsible for collecting all dietary and allergy requirements for party guests and discussing this with Gracies Café who will contact you in the week before your party to confirm your food choices. Party organisers who wish to bring in any food (such as birthday cakes) are fully responsible to ensure all dietary and allergy requirements are catered for and that the cake conforms with Natasha’s Law 2021.

  1. Full payment is required at the time of booking. We will contact you in the week before the party to confirm numbers attending and take payment for any additional bookings you wish to add.
  2. Photography/filming is not permitted within our venue unless consent is sought from a member of staff. As the party has sole use of the swimming pool area, if filming/photography is permitted then the party organiser is responsible for ensuring that permission is obtained from all those in attendance.
  3. There is a minimum age for the taking part on the pool inflatable of 6 and a maximum of 12. 

Service Fee

For certain activities, an additional non-refundable order processing fee may be applied to your purchase to cover the costs associated with processing orders. This fee varies by activity and will be added prior to completing the purchase; it will be clearly indicated next to the total amount.

The service fee is calculated based on a standard flat rate per transaction plus a percentage of the final value of the transaction.

When booking an activity for multiple guests, please note that the booking fee applies to the entire transaction rather than the number of individuals included in the booking. If you wish to amend your booking before the specified amendment date, no additional booking fee will be incurred.
