EICA Holiday Camps and Coaching Terms & Conditions

Booking Cancellations
Please only book a NICAS Clip session if you are sure you will be able to attend. Full payment is required at time of bookings. No refunds or changes can be made to your bookings after this time.

Our Activities
Any form of Climbing can be a dangerous pastime that can lead to serious injury. The BMC recognises that climbing and mountaineering are activities with a danger of personal injury or death. Participants in these activities should be aware of and accept these risks and be responsible for their own actions. Edinburgh Leisure have taken every possible step to ensure that you have a completely safe and fun experience through the use of  high quality equipment and the employment of a qualified and experienced team. However, we cannot accept any responsibility for injuries sustained due to negligence on the part of participants.

Medical Condition or Disability Provision
Our holiday activities run with a ratio of 1 adult to 6 children. We can support children who have mild to moderate support needs, due to learning or physical disabilities to attend if they are comfortable in a group setting. If you wish to discuss your child’s specific needs, please email us at bookings.eica@edinburghleisure.co.uk.
It is very important that you make us aware of any medical conditions or disability your child has as soon as possible. Whilst we may be able to accommodate a medical condition or disability, it will affect the ratio that our session runs at and will require foresight to arrange extra staffing. If we do not receive this foresight and do not have the additional staff, we will be unable to accommodate your child.

Age Limits/Height Restrictions
Some of our activities have upper and lower age limits, and possibly height restrictions.  These will be detailed within the description of each activity.  These limits may also be detailed by primary school years.  This means the child you are booking for should be either in that primary school year OR will be about to enter that primary school year for activities that take place during the holidays.
We retain the right to refuse entry to any activities should your child's age or height fall outside the ones detailed in each activity description.  No refunds will be given.

Behavioural Expectations
In order to keep our Holiday activities for all, children are expected to be polite, courteous and co-operative to staff and other children at all times.  In the unusual event of unacceptable behaviour such as bullying, hitting or aggression towards other children our staff will deal with this fairly and discuss it with it with you when you are collecting your child at the end of the day.
Persistent unacceptable behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in you being called to arrange immediate collection of your child and possible exclusion from further participation in the Holiday activities sessions.

Toileting

In the case of our outdoor camps, facilities are not always available. For all activities children should go to the loo before the start of the session, and whenever the opportunity arises if travelling to and from activity venues.

Clothing
As your child will be taking part in a variety of different activities it is important for their comfort and safety that they are dressed appropriately. To find out what your child should wear please visit out Frequently Asked Questions. Should your child not be dressed appropriately they may be unable to take part in certain activities.  Should your activity include Climbing or Clip 'n Climb at EICA Ratho please ensure you wear closed-toe footwear such as trainers.  If the person taking part is wearing sandals, heels or flip flops they will not be permitted to take part in the activity.  We also advise that you wear comfortable loose-fitting clothing for this activity.  Leggings should be worn under any skirts or kilts.

Electronic Devices
Items such as, but not limited to, mobile phones and tablets should not be brought to our holiday activities.  Edinburgh Leisure shall not be responsible for the loss or damage to any such device.

Outdoor Spaces
We can encounter midges and ticks during outdoor activities and encourage your child to use repellants and for you to check your child for ticks after their sessions. More information about dealing with ticks can be found here.
