Dear Customer
Starting 1 June 2024, we will be making changes to our Family Fun Swim and Relaxed Swim bookings.
1. What's changing?
Starting 1st June 2024, we're streamlining our
pool experience and removing bookings for Family Fun Swim and Relaxed Swim
sessions at our pools.
The exceptions are Gracemount Leisure Centre, where
booking is still required for ASN Family Fun sessions and Inflatable Fun
sessions, and Balerno High School where booking remain necessary for Family Fun Swim since there is no on-site payment option. But don't worry, you can still easily book these sessions through our
website and app.
2. Why are we making this change?
To make your experience more flexible and enjoyable. Now you
can simply turn up during Family Fun Swim / Relaxed Swim times and stay as long
as you like, depending on our pool timetables. This change aligns with all our
other swim activities, where no advance booking is needed. Enjoy more freedom
and better value for your money!
3. Any pool timetable changes?
There won't be any changes to our pool timetables, except
for a few adjustments at the Royal Commonwealth Pool, which we'll cover in
point 3. You can always check the timetables for each pool on our website.
4. What adjustments are being made to the
Royal Commonwealth Pool timetables?
At the Royal Commonwealth Pool, there will be some
adjustments to the Relaxed Swim timetable starting in June:
- Mondays: Sessions from 11:50 to 12:30 are
moving to the teaching pool with new, extended times from 12:05 to 12:55.
- Tuesdays: No changes to the 12:05 to
12:45 session.
- Wednesdays: The 10:30 to 11:10 session is
moving to the teaching pool with new, extended times from 12:00 to 13:30.
- Thursdays: The 12:05 to 12:45 session is
moving to the teaching pool with new, extended times from 12:00 to 13:30.
During Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday Relaxed Swim
Sessions, half of the teaching pool will be dedicated to Relaxed Swimming
without lanes, while the other half will be reserved for Family Fun Swim.
Additionally, during school holidays, we will have more
shallow water casual swimming available. This includes lanes, ensuring everyone
can enjoy their swim in a relaxed environment, however our dedicated Relaxed
Swim sessions on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday will not be running during this
period.
5. How do I attend these sessions from 1st
June?
Simple! Just drop in for your preferred session. Now you
have the flexibility to pay for your session at reception or at the kiosk.
6. What will happen if
there is no space when I arrive?
Venues will run a waiting list system managed by our Front of House teams. When a space becomes available, our lifeguard team will inform Front of House, and they will notify the next customer on the list.
7. Can I still use my Loyalty Points?
You can still use your Loyalty Points to pay for your
sessions. Plus, here’s the great news: when you pay at reception, you can also
use your loyalty points to pay for as many people as you want. Just make sure
you have the full amount in loyalty points to make use of them.
You can find information about our adult/child ratios
here as well as an overview of the different types of swim sessions we offer
here.
