Key information:
· - Bookings are non-refundable
· - If you book an activity included in your membership you
will be charged £3 (£5 for golf) if you cancel less than 3 hours before the
start of the activity
· - If you book an activity included in your membership you
will be charged £3 (£5 for golf) if you do not attend your activity, or you do
not register your attendance by swiping your card at our gates, tablets or with
a member of staff
· - Turkish Bath sessions include access to the steam room at
Portobello Swim Centre (dependent on availability) but does not include a swim.
A separate swim session has to be booked.
- You must be 16 years or above to use the Turkish Baths
You can book Turkish Baths sessions online and by the App.
If Turkish Baths are not included in your membership you must pay at the time
of booking.
Online and App bookings open at 9pm. If Turkish Baths
visits are included in your membership or you are a Discount Card holder you
can book 8 days in advance online and via the App. If you are not a
member or have a 10 for 8 card, you can book from 9pm 7 days in advance online
or via the App.
We ask that you only book sessions that you are likely to
attend and a maximum of two per day to ensure everyone gets the opportunity to
book their session.
If you book sessions on the App you can add them to your
calendar.
You can also check your bookings by clicking 'My bookings'
on the App or you can check 'upcoming bookings' on the online booking page.
When you book a Turkish Bath session
you get access to the Turkish Baths and our steam room for 1 hour 45 minutes.
We still need to safely manage the numbers of customers using our pool at any
time. So if you would also like to swim during or around the time of your
Turkish Bath session you can simply book a 45 minute lane swim session at the
time of your choice.
This can be done by members at no
additional cost, you just need to book a Lane Swim session to begin at the same
time as your Turkish Bath booking and/or one that starts during your Turkish
Bath booking. If you are a non-member then you will have to pay for both the
Turkish Bath session and any additional swim sessions you want to book at the
time of booking.
Arriving in time for your
session
We kindly ask customers who have booked into a
Turkish Baths session to swipe attendance at reception 5 minutes prior to the
session starting, to allow enough time to be ready for your session starting.
To avoid any incorrect No Show charges, please always use
your membership card or fob to swipe in. When you swipe in, our system
will mark you as attended for any sessions due to start within the next 3
hours.
Turkish Baths waiting
lists
Our sessions are very popular. If the session
is full, you can add yourself to the waiting list.
If Turkish Baths visits are not included in your membership, there is no charge
to book onto the waiting list, but if you then get booked into the session, you
will have to pay to confirm your place.
Until 3 hours before the start of your activity we send out emails
at regular intervals throughout the day alerting you to any spaces that have
become available in the session that you’re on the waiting list for. The email
will contain a link you can click to automatically book yourself into the
session and pay if required. There is no priority position - everyone on the
waiting list receives the email at the same time ensuring an equal chance of
booking the space. First come, first booked!
3 hours before the start of your activity we cancel the spaces
notification list, stop sending emails and simply release any spaces cancelled
from this time directly onto the booking system so you can see them live on the
app or online booking system. Please keep checking for cancelled spaces during
this time, and you can book in the usual way.
If you are on a waiting list and decide that you no longer want a space in the
session, please remove yourself from the waiting list.

If swim or dive visits are included in your
membership you can cancel your booking online or on our App. If you cancel your
booking less than 3 hours before the session is due to start a Late
Cancellation fee of £3 will be applied to your account. If you do not
turn up for your booking or don’t swipe in at reception a No Show fee of £3
will be applied to your account. We will email you the day after the fee
is applied with details on how to make the payment.
Payment for any fees must be made within 7 days. Anyone who has an unpaid fee
on their account for more than 7 days won't be able to make any new bookings
until the fee is paid.
If you have paid for a Turkish Baths session, there is no refund and we will
not move your booking if you change your mind.

What happens if
Edinburgh Leisure cancels a Turkish Baths session?
If we cancel a session, we will contact you by
text or a phone call to let you know. If you have paid for your booking we will
credit your account with the relevant number of Loyalty Points.
