What do I need to do to use the climbing arena?

What do I need to do to use the climbing arena?

If it’s your first time climbing or first time visiting EICA, then you’ll need to fill in a form which confirms you are aware of the terms and conditions and potential risks involved.

We recommend you complete this form online before your arrive, then you’ll be able to hit the ground running when you get here. You’ll need to renew this form every three years. All climbers new to EICA will be asked to complete a competency test on arrival.  Please visit edinburghleisure.co.uk/climbing-registration-form to register.

Once the registration form has been completed and a competency test passed, you will be able to access the bouldering and climbing areas. You will also be able to sign in up to 2 guests per day under your supervision.

You can hire items such as shoes, harnesses, helmets and belay plates when you arrive at our reception desk.
