What is the No-Show/Late Cancellation fee?
The charge will be applied in the following circumstances:
- You don't attend a pre-booked activity that's included as part of your membership
- You cancel your booking less than 3 hours before the start of the activity*.
You don't check in for your activity either at the easy-access gates or the reception desk.
*To allow for weather-related cancellations, customers may contact our golf courses at 0131 458 2100 to request the fee be removed if their tee time was in the first 3 hours of the day.
Why are you introducing this change?
We hope this will encourage our members to cancel their booking if they know they won't be able to attend, making the space available for other customers and improving everyone's experience with Edinburgh Leisure.
How much is the fee?
The fee will be £3 for all bookable fitness sessions (including fitness classes, gym-based classes, U16 gym sessions and NRG Zone), and £5 for golf .
How do I pay the fee?
Payment won't be taken automatically - you can pay the fee through your booking account online or on the app.
Please note that if you have an outstanding No-Show fee on your account, you won't be able to make anymore bookings if payment isn't made within 7 days.
Where does my fee go?
Any No-Show fees we collect aren't taken as extra income. Instead, we put them into a designated reserve which supports our charitable Active Communities programmes. Our Active Communities team enables over 10,000 people a year who live with physical, mental, social, or financial barriers, to lead active and healthy lives.
