Why have I been charged a No Show charge?

   
If you are an Edinburgh Leisure Direct Debit member and your membership includes the activity you are booking (eg you have a Fitness Class membership and have booked a Fitness Class), you will be charged a No Show fee of £3.00 (£5.00 for golf) if you fail to attend your pre-booked activity OR if you do not swipe your card when you enter your venue to register your visit.

This is to encourage customers to cancel their booking if they are unable to attend so that their space can be used by someone else.

These charges will be raised the night after the activity.  You will also receive an email advising you of the charge and also how to pay for it.  We recommend you pay for any charges as soon as possible.  If the charge is still on your account after 7 days of it being raised your ability to book and swipe in for any other activities will be stopped until your balance is cleared.

You can cancel a booking for your activity at no charge up to 3 hours before your activity is due to start. You can cancel using the app or online booking system.

As a member, how can I avoid a no show charge?
  1. Only book into activities that you are able to attend
  2. If circumstances change remember to cancel any activities you can no longer attend well in advance
  3. Always swipe in at reception (or via our access gates were applicable) when you visit as this marks you as attending.

PLEASE NOTE: if you have to pay for your activity at the time of booking (eg if you have a Discount Card, Pay as you Go account or you are a member booking an activity not included in your membership, your booking is non refundable. If you do not show for your booked activity you will not be able to get your money refunded.
